The biggest rivalry in all sports took place in Chapel Hill North Carolina last week with the #9 ranked Blue Devils playing the #5 ranked Tar Heels. Every professional predicted North Carolina to win, fortunatley freshman Austin Rivers threw it up from 7 feet off the 3 point line with 1 second left and drained it to upset North Carolina by one point.
It was quite a cinderella story for Rivers that night considering he never stepped foot on the court against the Tar Heels, scoring a career high of 29 points, not to mention 24 of them were 3 pointers and making the game winning shot in the biggest rivalry in all of sports. I will be excited to see what Coach K can turn this kid into.
that is pretty crazy and it would be and that kind of luck seems to only happen in movies
ReplyDeleteI should start watching college sports. I hear they are more exciting.
ReplyDeleteRivers is a stud and got lucky with that last shot. but I will admit the kid is good
ReplyDeleteLucky that's what i say although i was rooting for Duke. Seems like I have heard a lot of upsets this year in college basketball.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I agree that it was the biggest rivalry ever, but it does sound like an exciting game.
